Challenge Level
Park City is the mountain for intermediates with steep sections, bridges, and tunnels to keep you twisting and turning. Beginners and advanced skiers will also find their fair share of runs but truly avid skiers and riders can find deeper and steeper runs at Snowbird or Alta.

Accessibility
Salt Lake City International Airport is your only option to getting to Park City, but it has connections to all the major US West Coast airports. The cheapest option to Park City is public transportation but it takes twice as long as most other options. Shuttle services such as Canyon Transportation can get you to Park City but there’s a chance you’ll be sharing the ride with other customers who may need to be dropped off along the way. Renting your own wheels is often the best way to go, particularly for families and especially if you’re planning to visit any of the other Salt Lake City-area resorts. Otherwise, taking an Uber (or Uber Ski if you have gear) is an option too.

When To Go
February to March are the best times to visit Park City. The ski season at Park City can last for five whole glorious months, from mid-November to mid-April. The start and tail end aren’t going to offer the best snow, so if you can aim your trip for any time between the beginning of February to the middle of March. This time of year gives you the best chance of scoring fresh deep powder with all the trails and lifts open. When it comes to snowfall, there is no reliable pattern in Utah, but the local consensus is that the second half of February is when the best powder is served, usually around the time of the Presidents’ Day national holiday. During the Sundance Film Festival, you may find the slopes surprisingly quiet, but restaurants get booked out months in advance and lodging prices are usually turned up a notch, so make sure you’ve secured a ski and snowboard deal at Park City.
